Do you ever meet a couple and just think "Wow, they have SO much fun together". When I met Katie & David to photograph their engagement photos back in December, that was my first thought. First of all, when a couple says can you just take our pictures while we bake a lemon meringue pie? And then secondly, they completely nail the session just being themselves and looking absolutely adorable, you just know they are in love and such good friends.
A couple that laughs together stays together.
Katie & Davids day started off cloudy, very cloudy. But Katie didn't stress one bit about rain on her wedding day. She just stayed calm and easygoing the whole while leading up to walking down the aisle. Rain was sprinkling down as she walked down the aisle to her groom, but it was nothing but smiles for each other and the rain was just an added sound to their vows. After the wedding we took off to the front porch of The Heitman House to photograph some of my all time favorite images I've ever taken.
THEN after the speeches, the rain cleared and off we ran to get some photos on the dock and took even more amazing pictures. I just have to say, I LOVE when couples want to take a million photos. Makes me so joyful.
I had to include some photos of their cake cutting, it started off civil and then at the very end, when all cake smashing bullets had been dodged, Katie smashed a bit into Davids face, which then resulted in David chasing after Katie to get his revenge. I adored all the laughter that happened, so I had to show that to you all.
I hope you love these pictures as much as I do. I still have a million hours of editing to do, but I wanted to give Katie & David a bit more of sneak peek to keep them going until the images are completed.
